The project aims to promote, develop and strengthen non-formal adult education in Georgia.

Within the framework of formal education, the Georgian Adult Education Network, in cooperation with the Member Center, has obtained the issuance of a certificate recognized by the "Light Sewing Product Sewing" course-state. The course can be implemented by the network for 3 years. The program is implemented by GAEN in its member, 9 adult education centers, where the course will be opened in stages. Information will be provided in advance in the centers and those who wish can register. The state-recognized certificate will give them more opportunities for employment, realization and future development. This means that trainees will receive a state-recognized certificate upon successful completion of the program. And it doesn’t just happen on a sewing course. In the future, the Georgian Adult Education Network plans to make a similar application for other professional programs.

Institutional strengthening of network member organizations is an important component in achieving GAEN's strategic goals and ensuring the effectiveness of the work of member organizations. The activities planned for 2020 are based on the needs analysis of our centers. Despite the current situation in the country, in the first half of 2020 GAEN organized 3 main trainings on online topics. According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization or local organizations, organizations and companies have switched to remote work mode for an indefinite period of time. Given the current situation, the Georgian Adult Education Network (GAEN), in accordance with the recommendations, facilitated the effective work of its member adult and community education centers and helped them to respond appropriately to the challenge.

On May 13 and 15, 2020, GAEN commissioned an online training on fire safety instruction and first aid. The trainings in the ZOOM application were conducted in two streams for the center directors and the center staff. Davit Gogsadze led the fire safety instruction, and Mayagogashvili led the first aid training. 12 center directors and one employee from the center participated in the trainings. The trainings discussed all the issues that will help the staff of the centers to ensure labor safety on the ground

On September 28-30, 2020, a three-day online training was conducted for the staff of the Adult Education Network Membership Centers of Georgia on the administration and management of the centers. And to ensure the efficiency of the work of member organizations. Accordingly, the administration members of the centers were also trained in the basic issues of the organization's administration and management. Participants actively participated in the sessions, both individually and in groups. , Presentation and other topics necessary for the administration of the centers.

For years, the Georgian Adult Education Network / GAEN has traditionally held a summarizing event at the end of each year to present the results achieved and successful individuals over the past year. The tradition was not broken this year either due to the created reality, though not with the usual festive event, but through Zoom, remotely, still solemnly and interestingly held on December 8th. The online meeting was attended by about 90 representatives from different regions of the country, including DVV International Georgia's staff, all twelve members of the A (A) IP Georgia Adult Education Network - Better Education of 2020 - Beneficiaries, Trainers, Representatives of Partner Municipalities, City Councils Among them: Chairman of Kharagauli Municipality Sakrebulo, Mayor of Lagodekhi Municipality, Mayor of Khoni Municipality, Mayor of Ambrolauri Municipality and Chairman of the Sakrebulo.


Because in today’s reality our daily lives and activities have been virtually entirely electronic space, internet services have acquired even more price significance. In this way, almost all services are available today, and people can not only plan, but also find and implement the desired service without leaving home. Dvv.gaen.org.ge is a web portal that helps Georgian citizens find vocational and personal development training courses, and allows education providers to upload information about their courses for free and offer their services to the public. Organized by the DVVInternational Georgia office and assisted by the German Economic Cooperation and Dvv.gaen.org.ge-seeking courses, 6 "Competency-Based Learning and Assessment Approaches" were funded by the Federal Ministry of Development (BMZ). The information can be found on the web portal according to the regions, municipalities, as well as the type of educational courses and organizations, which allows the interested persons to obtain the desired information promptly and exhaustively. The website is bilingual - Georgian and English, has a search and membership window, where you can find and offer the desired courses. Contact information is indicated at the bottom of the page. On December 13, in the framework of support activities, an online training was held on the topic: "Competency-Based Teaching and Assessment Approaches" to support the implementation of vocational training / retraining programs for the administration of the A (A) IP Adult Education Network Member Centers in Georgia.
